Each first place vote represents 3 points, second place represents two points, a third place vote represents one point. Lamar Jackson won the Heisman trophy with 2,144 total points. His margin of victory over 2nd place DeShaun Watson was 620 points, one of the top ten largest margins of victory in the award's history. Jackson also becomes the youngest winner of the award in history. The Louisville sophomore quarterback was just a few days younger than 2013 winner Jameis Winston.
