The Yankees need to worry more about getting into the playoffs as a Wild Card team and less about winning the American League East. Boston is the best team in the AL East and unless the Yankees take 3 out of 4, Boston will hold on and win the division.

The Yankees just need to make sure they make the playoffs, because it would go in the books as a very bad season if they're not playing postseason baseball.
