Will Brown Wins America East Coach Of The Year

University at Albany men’s basketball head coach Will Brown was named America East Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year on Monday. This is Brown's first  America East Coach of the Year award, in his 14 seasons. Brown has led the Great Danes to a 15-1 record and No. 1 seed in the America East Playoffs.

The team also had four players named to all-conference teams. Sam Rowley and Evan Singletary were named to the All-Conference First Team, with Peter Hooley earning a spot on the Second Team, and Ray Sanders was named to the Third Team and All-Defensive accolades.

Albany will face Maine at home, in the first round of the American East playoffs on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
