It's as if Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez just cannot escape the phrase "performance enhancing drugs".  On Thursday, Rodriguez's cousin and longtime personal assistant Yuri Sucart was sentenced to 7 months in prison for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal in which PED's were distributed to a number of professional baseball players.

Sucart, under Anthony Bosch, helped provide steroids to a number of athletes including Rodriguez.  While the investigation was ongoing, Sucart rarely cooperated with authorities and could face deportation back to the Dominican Republic after he is released from prison.

Rodriguez served an MLB record 162 game suspension for his involvement with Biogenesis.  Having a good year thus far with the Yankees, mainly as the designated hitter, Rodriguez has been a vital part of the Yankees success, and if this will affect him in the near future is yet to be seen.
