They may be short on bodies but don't tell that to Siena and especially don't tell that to Manhatten. The Jaspers were eliminated from the MAAC tourney for the 5th time in the last 6 years by an undermanned but feisty Saints clun in an OT thriller 84-82 Saturday night to advance to the semi finals of the tournament on Sunday.

Siena employing a 6 deep team because of injuries led by a duece at half time and needed the extra 5 minutes to defeat the 20-12 Jaspers and move on to tangle with Loyola Maryland in the final 4 of the MAAC later Sunday.

Owen Wignot had 22 points including the biggest bucket late in the over time and iced it with a free throw in the extra period. Wignot's 3 with 9 seconds left in regulation sent the game to OT. The Saints are using a 1 man bench and only 6 players saw the floor in this thriller.

These 2 rivals split the 2 games during the regular season. Because the Saints are so thin it looked like it would be 1 and done for Siena but then again this is the beauty of the post season. You never know.

4 Saints scored in double digits led by Wignot. Brandon Walters had 19, Rob Poole had 16, and 1st team MAAC star O.D. Anosike had just 14. Siena shot 49% for the game and 45% from 3.

The winning Saints move on to the final 4 against Loyola while Top seed Iona will  meet Fairfield in Sundays semi final double dip. For Manhatten they will hope to get a call from the N.I.T. and if not seem sure to make 1 of the 4 post season tournaments.
