Over 7,300 hockey fans and some out for a great deal packed into the Times Union Center Saturday night to watch the Albany Devils defeat Worcester 4-1, and stopping a 1 game losing skid.

The Devils started a bit slow surrendering the games 1st goal just after the 7 minute mark. However they came back to tie the game late as Steve Zalewski scored for Albany with only 35 seconds left in the opening period. That goal seemed to spur the Devils on as late goals are want to do.

2nd period tallies by Mattias Tedenby and the red hot Eric Gelinas gave the Devs a 3-1 lead after 2. Gelinas has 6 points in his last 6 games.

Darcy Zajak finished the nights scoring with a 3rd period goal that iced the contest. The game featured a very popular fan night promotion. GE " Kids Get in free night" where all youngsters 12 and under got in free with a ticket buying adult.

The Devils out shot the Worcester club 28-17. Worcester also came up empty on the power play failing to beat goalie Keith Kinkaid in 5 chances.

The Devils will look to take their winning act on the road, next up a game in Bridgeport in Atlantic City.
