It hasn't happened since July 26th, Aaron Judge is in the New York Yankees starting line up. Not a moment too soon as the saying goes. The Yankees host their bitter rivals the Boston Red Sox and if the Red Sox win any on the three games in the Bronx they clinch the American League East title.

Look I know that the Red Sox will clinch the East sooner or later but the thought of the dreaded Boston Red Sox popping bottles and celebrating in Yankee Stadium turns my stomach. Imagine the boost the Yankees would get from sweeping the Red Sox and pushing off their celebration.

Also on a grander scale the Yankees 26 - 21 since Judge went on the DL and the Oakland A's are a game and a half behind them in the Wild Card standings. With any luck this Yankees team will play up to their potential and lock up home field in the one game Wild Card game.
