It was no brainer for Aaron Judge to win the American League Rookie of the Year award, but he’s not going to win the MVP. That belongs to Houston’s Jose Altuve who had a much more consistent season on a team that won the World Series.

Judge had a great season and his 52 home runs will be almost impossible to duplicate next season, but that’s okay if he doesn’t strike out 208 times. That’s the number that sticks out like a sore thumb and the reason he won’t be the AL MVP, that honor goes to the former ValleyCat.
