Back when current Iowa men's basketball head coach Fran McCaffrey was the main man in charge for the Siena Saints and now former head coach Mitch Buonaguro was experiencing his first year at the helm, Adam Chaskin was there for all the trials and tribulations. From the MAAC Championships to the upsets of Ohio State and Vanderbilt, through the highs and the lows, Chaskin was a staple on the sideline for the Saints during those years.

Earlier today on "Cady's Corner," Brian Cady was able to catch up with the former basketball coach, to discuss his time with Fran McCaffrey and his thoughts about Mitch Buonaguro being relieved of his duties. Adam also discussed realignment in college sports, the "One and Done" rule for basketball players and the concept of "student-athletes" being paid.

This also served as a preview for a special event Chaskin has put together - the second annual "Bracketology 101" panel discussion at the Schenectady Jewish Community Center - which I will be a part of this Monday evening (March 18) at 7:30 p.m. The event will serve as a preview and breakdown of the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
