Bills third string quarterback E.J. Manuel didn’t have a good training camp. Should Bills fans expect him to still be on the roster by season’s end?

“Yeah I would expect that he would be,” said ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “When they watch him throw in practice, when you speak to the people there, they say he is their most talented quarterback. You’re not just going to give up on somebody like that right now."

Some who have watched Manuel since the day he arrived in Buffalo have never been convinced that he has what it takes between the ears. Physically? The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder can most definitely hold his own.

The Bills named longtime backup Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterback two weeks ago. In a surprising move, Buffalo released veteran Matt Cassel, who many believed was at the top of the depth chart. Within 48 hours after being let go, the Bills re-signed him once again on Tuesday.

While Manuel has a big upside, one still has to think that if another comes forward with a respectable deal, it could be hard to say 'no'.
