The Albany Devils announced today their 2012-13 promotional schedule. Throughout the year, fans will have the opportunity to collect memorabilia, participate in interactive events, support the Capital Region community and benefit from special offers.

Opening Night on Oct. 13 will include a free Albany Devils magnetic schedule for the first 5,000 fans, courtesy of Realty USA. Additionally, the first 500 patrons to that game, as well as the Oct. 19, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 contests, will receive a Devils t-shirt, presented by the Times Union. Other giveaways during the year include 2,000 winter hats on Dec. 28 and 3,000 team posters, courtesy of Sunmark Credit Union on Mar. 10. Additionally, 2,000 player bobbleheads will be given away on Jan. 26, Mar. 9 and Apr. 21 provided by Time Warner Cable, Yankee Trails and BBL Hospitality, respectively. Also on Apr. 21, which is Fan Appreciation Night, 1,500 Devils backpacks will be handed out, courtesy of the Times Union.

The Devils and Albany Mayor Gerald D. Jennings will host “The Mayor’s Cash For Coats” drive on Oct. 26. Ticket holders can make a cash donation, which will help purchase winter apparel for youth in the Capital Region. Other events helping the local community include a Boy Scouts of America food drive (Oct. 13), the Thanksgiving Food Drive (Nov. 2, 10, 12) and the Teddy Bear Toss (Dec. 15).

New this season, the Devils have partnered with Papa John’s for the “Papa John’s Family Four Pack,” which includes four tickets, four hats and a voucher for a free large pizza and cinnapie for just $52. The pack is available for games on Nov. 10, Dec. 15, Jan. 6, Mar. 10 and Apr. 21. The “Deuces Wild” promotion, including two tickets, two hats, two sodas, two popcorns and two vouchers for admission to a November game, is offered for the Oct. 26 contest for only $35. Also, the “Dunkin’ Donuts Family 4 Pack,” consisting of four tickets, four hats and a $10 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card, is available for the Jan. 26 game for $52. Fans can attend the Dec. 28 contest for $10 with a special holiday ticket deal and the Jan. 26 game features $5 and $10 tickets for Time Warner Cable customers.

Military Appreciation Night returns on Apr. 13; all active and past military personnel will receive free admission to the game. Additionally, the Nov. 12 matinee on Veterans’ Day includes free tickets for all veterans.

GE Kids-In-Free (all children 12-and-under receive free admission) will take place on Jan. 14, which is also Devil Dawg’s birthday celebration. The first 1,000 kids will receive t-shirts, compliments of GE. Also that night, the Devils will recognize local business women as part of Women In Business Night.

Every Friday home game will feature SEFCU College Night; with proper college identification, students can purchase tickets for $10. Also on Fridays, domestic draft beers are $2 between 6 and 7 p.m. Post-game autograph sessions, presented by Stanley Steemer will be on Nov. 12, Feb. 17 and Mar. 10 and will coincide with a post-game public skate. Fans will be treated to $1 hot dogs and sodas for Dollar Dawg Nights on Oct. 24, Nov. 12, Dec. 12, Jan. 23, Feb. 18 and Mar. 27.

Other promotional dates include: Word of Life (Nov. 2), Cap Com Night (Nov. 10), Girl Scout Cookie Kick-Off (Dec. 28), Pucks N’ Paws Night (Jan. 5), Golf Expo (Feb. 17), Wedding Expo (Mar. 10) and First Niagara Night (Apr. 21).
