Having lost 10 of 11, the Albany Devils' fight for the playoffs is down to desperate. Not long ago they found themselves in a playoff spot, top 8 in the conference, but an ill-timed slump has them on the outs and their chances are now slim at best.

The Devils, whose games can be heard on 1045 the team have lost 10 of 11 games and find themselves stuck in the 14th spot of the Eastern conference with only 9 games left in the regular season.

The good news is they have 7 of those 9 games left at home. With 67 points, the Devils are 4 from the final playoff spot, currently held by Syracuse with 71 points.

However the playoff struggle involves 6 other teams, and climbing past that many teams in short order is almost impossible. Adirondack is 9th with 69 points. Providence, Portland, and Springfield all have 68 points, and Worcester is tied with Albany at 67 points.
