Jeff Frazee did all he could to get his Devils a needed win. However once again the offense let down Albany and the Devils lose to the St. John's IceCaps 1-0 at home Friday night.

St Johns goalie Eddie Pasquale did Frazee one better, pitching a shutout and stopping 24 shots.

The first period saw 17 shots between the two teams, nine for the IceCaps and eight for the Devils. Neither net minder gave up anything.

The only goal of the game was scored at the 5:53 mark of the second period by the Caps Zach Redmond, a one time shot that beat Frazee and came on the power play. It was the third straight man advantage chance for the IceCaps.

After the latest setback and offensive futility Frazee said this: "we played really well defensively. We gave up a few odd man rushes and they had a few first period chances. Other than the back to back penalties we played really well. I mean we back checked really well and broke up a few of their chances."

The game drew a crowd of over 2,800 fans and watched as the Devils took another 0-fer on the power play going 0-3 with the man advantage. Albany takes their game on the road for a Saturday night contest against the Adirondack Phantoms.
