In the ninth week of our season-long series of interviews, Brian Cady was able to catch up with Albany Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. Following this week's losses at Binghamton and Connecticut, the Devils are now 3-5-1-1 in their last ten outings.

Despite their recent struggles, Albany is now 14-13-3-2 and are still positioned in second place in the Northeast Division, seven points behind the division-leading Connecticut Whale.

Coach Kowalsky discussed several topics with Brian this week, including:

  • How the players and coaching staff handled their time off during the Christmas holiday
  • What the team has to do in order to get back on track and find their winning ways from earlier in the season
  • How vital it is for rookie goaltender Keith Kinkaid to perform at a high level while Jeff Frazee is held out of action with an injury

Check out the interview below, which was recorded on Tuesday morning, prior to the Devils' 3-2 loss at the Connecticut Whale.
