In the sixth week of our season-long series of interviews, Brian Cady was able to catch up with Albany Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. The Devils continue to impress, especially on home ice at the Times Union Center, who are 7-0-1-1 since late October (longest home point streak in the AHL).

The Devils currently have a record of 12-8-2-1 for the season and are positioned in third place in the Northeast Division, sitting just one point behind the Adirondack Phantoms and four points behind the division-leading Connecticut Whale.

Coach Kowalsky discussed several topics with Brian this week, including:

  • The effect of players being recalled to and from New Jersey
  • How well his team's defense has impacted their attack on offense
  • The difficulty of having to play two road games in less than 24 hours, namely against Rochester and Toronto this weekend
