The Albany Empire got their first win last Saturday and one of the reasons they were able to click on offense and score 47 points in a 47 - 23 rout of the Washington Valor was wide receiver Joe "Superman" Hills. Hills was my player to watch last week and he didn't let me down, making 7 catches for 85 yards and 3 Touchdowns.

When asked about 24 year old receiver Malachi Jones, Hills said he had the talent to "play outdoors." Meaning Jones has NFL talent and is young enough to make the transition. That's high praise from a man that many believe is the best receiver in the Arena Football League. Jones had a great game against the Valor as well recording seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also had a rushing touchdown. There's one more reason to come out to the Albany Empire games, a NFL caliber wide receiver on the field.
