The Yankees snapped a six-game losing streak largely thanks to Alex Rodriguez.  A-Rod went yard twice and snapped a staggering streak of his own.

Going into the game against the Tampa Bay Rays last night, Alex Rodriguez had only three extra base hits in his last 82 at bats.  He was also hitting below .200 over the last 22 games.  The two solo shots he hit off of James Shields came at a perfect time for himself and for the struggling Yankees.

There was also another positive for the Yankees in a 6-2 win over the Rays.  Jorge Posada went 2-for-3 to bump his average up to .179.  Posada also hit in the 7th spot.  It was an interesting move after all of the controversy involving Posada being dropped to 9th in the lineup on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox.

The Yankees are at the Baltimore Orioles this evening.  First pitch is at 7:05pm.  Pregame starts at 6:30pm on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
