Alex Rodriguez Suspended 211 Games For Role In Biogenesis Scandal
New York Yankees fans will be able to see Alex Rodriguez play for three days this season. After that, his newly imposed 211 game suspension will begin, at which point he will not be seen again until after the 2014 season.
Rodriguez’ suspension will begin Thursday, according to the ruling from Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig, and will include any postseason play that the Yankees are involved in during both this year and the next.
Curious is the decision by New York Yankees brass to play A-Rod in the few days leading up to his suspension, as Yankees manager Joe Girardi has said that he plans to insert Rodriguez into the lineup starting today.
