After another dominating performance at 'the dot' in UAlbany's first round win over Richmond, TD Ierlan will face his biggest challenge yet as a college lacrosse face-off specialist this coming weekend.

As a freshman last year, Ierlan struggled in the quarterfinals against Maryland as the Great Danes fell to 0-4 all-time in the quarters. Same round this year, bigger challenge. The best face-off artist in UAlbany program history will go eye to eye with perhaps the greatest face-off man ever in all of college lacrosse.

That dream matchup of TD Ierlan and Trevor Baptiste was set on Sunday when Denver won at Notre Dame advancing to Saturday's quarterfinals on Hofstra University's campus. Baptiste holds the record for face-offs won in Division I history, but Ierlan, as a sophomore, is on a record-setting pace of his own.

Even with the return of a now seemingly healthy Connor Fields, a trip to the Final Four, what would be a first for UAlbany, will be decided at the face-off X.
