Amber Alert – Child Reported Missing Just South of Albany Area

UPDATE @ 3:30 PM: The AMBER Alert for Marlboro Police Department has been canceled. The child has been found safe, and the father is in custody

An Amber Alert has been placed for a missing child just south of Albany, and the suspect was last seen headed north!

Four year old Frederick McCluskey has been reported as abducted per the New York State Amber Alert system. The Marlboro Police Department is investigating a confirmed child abduction that occurred on Western Avenue, in Marlboro, New York at about 9:20 AM just this morning.

The child is a white male, approximately 4 years 9 months old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 4 feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds. Frederick was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. He has a small scar under right eye.

The alleged suspect is also named Frederick McCluskey. He is a white male, approximately 27 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. He took off in a red 1989 Honda Civic 2-door sedan hatchback (as shown above) with NY plates (the newer blue/gold version),  license plate number FHX9276. He was last seen driving north, towards Albany, on Route 9W.

The elder McCluskey abducted child using physical violence following a physical domestic altercation. He has threatened to harm child and himself.

Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the Marlboro Police Department at (866) NYS-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.
