So far 2013 has been very good to the Albany Devils. A 5-2 victory over the Binghamton Senators brings their record in the new year to 2-0, and overall they have won three straight. They are finally two games over .500 at 13-11-1-6.

Goals by Tim Sestito, Eric Gelinas, Adam Larrson, Mattias Tedenby and Steve Zalewski led to the win over Binghamton.

The victory over Binghamton might have been the best of the season so far. The Sens came into the game red hot, winners of five straight overall and before the loss the Sens had dropped just one of their previous 10 contests.

The Devils  have plenty of time to practice which is unusual. they don't hit the ice again until Friday night when they hit the road for a game at Manchester.

Also of note, with the NHL season starting up after the lockout, will Albany lose any players to the New Jersey Devils? Rosters don't have to be set just yet so I am sure there are a bunch of Albany Devils wondering if they will soon become New Jersey Devils.
