Last last night, it was confirmed to me that Ian Anderson will begin the second act of his Minor League Baseball career tonight.

Anderson, the third overall pick in the draft this past year, and a Shenendehowa graduate, breezed through the Gulf Coast League, tossing 18 innings while allowing zero earned runs. He allowed just 14 hits in that stretch and 18 strikeouts against just four walks.

Great command of both sides of the plate, the use of secondary pitches that are all above average and a low-Mid 90s fastball all bode well for Anderson's chances of success as he climbs the professional ladder.

The Braves have done a nice job stockpiling talented arms and look to be very formidable heading into the future.

Anderson helped lead Shen to the Class AA NYS championship this past year and elected forego his collegiate opportunities at Vanderbilt to sign with the Braves.

We will be watching tonight to see how he does at Danville.
