ESPN's Andy Katz didn't pronounce "bulging discs" correctly during the NBA Draft on Thursday night.  I'm confident you know where this is headed.

Oh, boy.  It's another installment of the most dreaded phrase in sports broadcasting; bulging discs.  It's a doozy.  Granted, "Rivalry Week" is a tongue twister that often leaves broadcasters sounding like Elmer Fudd.  However, "bulging discs" is in a league of its own when it comes to the potential embarrassment that broadcasters will encounter if they accidentally say, uhh, well, you know.

I'll give Andy Katz a little credit for speeding through his error as if nothing happened.  I'm not sure I would be able to pretend like nothing happened if I accidentally said "bulging d**ks" on "The Noe Show."  There would probably be a dramatic pause followed by me saying, "Whoops!  My bad."  Andy's recovery was much better, but he still is a member of the BDHOF (Bulging Discs Hall of Fame).  Katz is probably thinking, "Why couldn't Jared Sullinger have had a hip flexor or something?"  Better luck next time, bud.
