If losing CC Sabathia to the DL on Tuesday wasn't enough, Andy Pettitte will be lost for 6-8 weeks due to an anke fracture.

During the 5th inning of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians, Casey Kotchman hit a comebacker that bounced off of Pettitte's left ankle. He was immediately taken out of the game.

According to reports, Pettitte suffered an ankle fracture that won't require surgery. He will be on crutches and require a walking boot. The injury will require a minimum 6 weeks to heal.

This is really a signifigant hit for the Yankees as the rotation before Pettitte was 15-12 with a 4.78 ERA. After Pettitte arrived the rotation was 21-12 with at 3.46 ERA.

Minor Leaguer Adam Warren will now take the spot in the rotation on Friday night and Freddy Garcia has been pushed to Monday.
