The Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels added another chapter to their storied rivalry last night in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A game that the Tar Heels seemed in control of until very late in the game, slipped through their grasp.

Down one late and with the ball, UNC's Joel Berry II's hurried shot was blocked by Derryck Thornton and rebounded by Grayson Allen who threw the ball into the air as time expired.

"It's a tough one to swallow," UNC head coach Roy Williams said post game after regretting not having called a timeout before the eventual last possession. Williams had three timeouts remaining, but was reluctant to use them, showing trust in his players.

UNC's Brice johnson had 29 points and 19 rebounds leading the Tar Heels. The Blue Devils were led by 23 points from Grayson Allen, while they relied on freshman Brandon Ingram down the stretch who had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Ingram is only the second player all-time to score 20pts and 10rebs in their first UNC/Duke match-up.

Duke still holds a slight lead (46 to 44) against the Tar Heels over the last 90 games and have outscored North Carolina by 16 points total over that span.
