Let's call it the lost weekend cause that's all the Albany Devils did was lose this weekend. Friday it was 5-1 at Rochester. Following up that bad game the Devils returned home and got hammered again this time 4-1 to the Syracuse Crunch.

Not much different in this game from many so far this season for the Devs. Fall behind early, try to play catch up, watch the special teams fail, and well lose. Syracuse center Tyler Johnson scored what turned out to be the game winner almost halfway of the 2nd period.

Syracuse is an AHL leading 8-0-0-1 on the road this young season and lead the east with a 11-3-1-1 record so far. At the other end of the deal are the Devils. They are last in the Northeast with a 4-7-0-4 record for a slim 12 points.

Stop me if you have heard this before. The Devils didn't score on the power play AGAIN. Their success with the man advantage reads with more horror then a Hitchcock flick. 5 for 67. Yikes. At least they have been consistent though. At home they are a scary bad 1-33 with the man advantage. Perhaps they should pretend it is football and decline the penalty!!!!

Joe Whitney scored the only goal for Albany.
