Antawn Jamison Honorary Bleacher Creature [VIDEO]

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Antawn Jamison got a warm Bleacher Creature welcome at Yankee Stadium on Friday.

The Bleacher Creatures don’t show love to just anybody.  I’m not exactly sure why the Creatures rolled out the red carpet for Antawn Jamison, but he deserved a nice response in their eyes.  Jamison was on hand to watch the Yankees dust Johan Santana and the Mets 9-1 on Friday.

The Bleacher Creatures have showcased their unique “Roll Call” for a while now.  It’s one of the cooler traditions you will find in baseball.  I think it’s awesome.  Below is a video of the cool “Roll Call” tradition.  Also, you’ll find a video of the “Roll Call” leader, Bald Vinny.  By the way, how awesome is that nickname?  A Yankees “Roll Call” leader should be named nothing other than Bald Vinny in my opinion.  That’s great.

The Yankees swept the New York Mets over the weekend.  After recording the 9-1 win on Friday, Phil Hughes outdueled Dillon Gee 4-2 on Saturday.  Russell Martin hit a walk-off home run on Sunday off of Jon Rauch as the Yankees beat the Mets 5-4.  The Yankees begin a 3-game set against the Atlanta Braves on Monday.  Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm ET on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
