Fox Sports' Ariel Helwani gave us an update on the biggest names in the UFC.The first time I had spoke with Ariel Helwani was just days after UFC 182 in January. Ariel and I recapped his time in Syracuse, (Helwani is an Orange alum, I was hosting morning drive), how exciting the 2015 schedule looked and the career of Jon Jones. Much has changed in Jon Jones' career in the almost ten months since then. Jones was involved in a hit and run incident in April in New Mexico where he turned himself in just days later. The UFC stripped him of his belt and have indefinitely suspended him after violating the Athlete Code of Conduct Policy. Jones' last fight was a successful title defense against Daniel Cormier. Cormier is now the champion after winning the vacant belt from Anthony "Rumble Johnson" in May. This weekend at UFC 192 Cormier defends the title against Alexander Gustafsson. This week, Jon Jones plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was subsequently sentenced to up to 18 months of supervised probation but He was authorized to travel for work-related purposes. So when will we see Jon Jones back in the UFC? Ariel Helwani does not believe it is a sure thing after speaking with Jones' manager

"When I last spoke to his manager they told me that it might be never.  I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that he’s going to fight again.  So I don’t think there’s really, at least as of right now, a timeline in place ---.  My gut says that we will see him, this is how he makes his money, this is how he provides from his family.  There’s too many big fights out there for him at this time, but I don’t think that there’s a specific date, time, etc.  already in place."

Jones is not the only fighter that  fans are waiting to see again in action. Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has still yet to announce his debut. Helwani answers that along with previewing UFC 192 and sharing his favorite spots here in Albany. UFC 192's Main card airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m.Saturday October 3rd.
