Not everyone loved when the New York Giants selected offensive lineman Ereck Flowers with the ninth overall selection of the draft. But one they did praise is UCLA defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa. Many believe he will be the future of the Giants pass rush, added on from a world class list with names such as Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, and Jason Pierre-Paul.

When asked about the high expectations he understands what it takes, " I haven't done anything yet, and I understand that it's gonna take a lot of work." When it comes to battling with his counterpart rookie Ereck Flowers he had nothing but praise. "For me, I have a great deal of respect for Ereck. I think he’s a talented player, I think he’s going to definitely help the team right away so off the bat I already have a respect for him. On the football he’s a competitive dude he competes, he wants to get better, he wants to be great and he wants to do what it takes to be great so right away I already have a great deal of respect for him. I think the more we get to know each other our respect level is just going to continue to grow for each other. We are just going to continue to compete against each other whenever because o-line, d-line I mean it what it is." With JPP out for the foreseeable future Odighizuwa chance may come sooner than later.
