Austin Rivers Buzzer Beater Puts Duke Over UNC

The rivalry adds another chapter, and Duke takes away what looked like a sure win for North Carolina thanks to a big shot by Austin Rivers.  Dukes wins 85-84.

One of the best rivalries in all of sports is The Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels.  That rivalry played out once again on Wednesday night.  #5 North Carolina played host to #9 Duke.  The crowd was on fire, and early on so were the Tar Heels.  They were working on a double-digit lead, but Duke had a secret weapon in Austin Rivers.

In the second half UNC led Duke 65-53.  They would hold onto that lead for little while, but Duke was there to battle.  They got hot behind the game of Austin Rivers who nailed the game winning shot at the buzzer to give duke the 85-84 win on the road.  29 points for Rivers in the win, whose father, Celtics coach Doc Rivers, was in the stands watching.  Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly would each add 15 points in the Blue Devil win.   If you missed the incredible buzzer beater, check out the video below.
