Aussie Rules Football is a physical game.  Typically, the ball isn't dangerous.  This video would suggest otherwise.

Eric MacKenzie is the name of the Aussie Rules Football player who got knocked into next week by the ball.  He was attempting a "smother" when West Coast was taking on St. Kilda.  A "smother" is basically the same thing as trying to block a punt in American football.  The most obvious difference is that American football players wear a helmet.  The only thing protecting this dude's head is air.  MacKenzie got knocked out cold when the ball whacked him in the face.  A teammate tweeted that he is doing fine.  That's good news, mate.  (I couldn't resist).
