Giants Cut Offensive Lineman Rich Seubert

Now that the NFL lockout is over, players can finally report to their teams' training camp facilities.  But those good feelings didn't last long for Rich Seubert. 

As soon as the offensive guard showed up to the Timex Performance Center, he was told to go home. Seubert will be released by the Giants later in the week.

Saratoga Opening Week Successful At The Gate And The Betting Windows

The first week of the Saratoga racing season is in the books and the fans (and gamblers) have come out in full force.

Attendance and handle for Week One (four days) at Saratoga Race Course posted increases from 2010 - the first year of the expanded 40-day race meet according to the New York Racing Association (NYRA).

Tigers Send Schenectady’s Casper Wells To Minors

In what Tigers manager Jim Leyland called a painful decision, Detroit sent Schenectady native Casper Wells down to AAA Toledo. 

Wells became the odd man out in a numbers game as the Tigers called up left-handed starting pitcher Duane Below.  Below made his Major League debut last week.
