As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

If Jets Want 2nd Best QB In Draft They Shouldn’t Take Wilson [LISTEN]
The 2021 NFL Draft is this Thursday and if all the rumors and reports are true the New York Jets will be selecting BYU quarterback Zach Wilson with the second overall pick. Sporting News Colleg Football insider Bill Bender says he's no quarterback guru but Wilson is not the second-best QB in the draft. Bender says his second-best prospect is still the same guy that's been neck and neck with top prospect Trevor Lawrence since high school, Ohio State signal-caller Justin Fields.
Empire Sign Two Players With NFL Experience As Part Of Busy Weekend
The Albany Empire is about five weeks from kicking off the 2021 season and if this weekend's additions are any sign, they'll be ready. Over the weekend the Empire signed seven total players two of which have caught the eye of the NFL. Linebacker Rickey Neal Jr. and Wide Reciever Marcel Newson who spent time training with the Vikings and Steelers respectively are part of a busy weekend where Empire head coach Tom Menas' roster has begun to take shape.

The Empire will host open tryouts Saturday, May 1st from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Afrim’s Sports Park. Yankees Starting Pitchers Most To Least Likely To Throw A No-Hitter
Early this MLB season it's easy to start to lose hope in the New York Yankees starting rotation being able to throw a complete game no-hitter but don't give up hope just yet. There's a legit Cy Young award candidate and few other pitchers I think could legitimately cost the Beef Jerky Experience $2,000 this season. Their loss could be your gain, so here are the Yankee starters I think give you the best chance to win the 2021 $2,000 Yankees No-Hitter contest from the Beef Jerky Experience.
8 Tips For Yankee Fans In Honor Of Earth Day
The New York Yankees are off to the worst start I can remember. Not just that they continue to hover four or five games under 500 but also because they just look TERRIBLE. If you're like me you've become extremely frustrated by the lackluster effort, awful fielding, subpar pitching, and anemic hitting. So in honor of Earth Day here are some tips on how we can care for our beautiful planet and survive this god-awful start to the 2021 Yankee season.
Yankee Favorite Could Be Victim Of Slow Start [AUDIO]
The New York Yankees are off to a TERRIBLE start to the season. I mean it's so bad that I actually asked ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney if he'd rather talk about the Knicks instead of the Yankees today. He chose to stick with the Yankees and seemingly took joy in tormenting me along with help from Red Sox fan and cohost Dan Bahl. Is there hope for a turnaround any time soon? Are the answers in-house or is it time to trade? If you need to trade which players could be leaving the Bronx for the last time as a Yankee?
Albany Freshman Named CAA Defensive Rookie Of The Year
The University of Albany Great Danes 6 game Spring season may have ended two games early but four games were plenty for the CAA to recognize the talent on the UALBANY roster. Running back Karl Mofor, Linebacker Danny Damico and Defensive Lineman Jared Verse have all been named to the All-CAA Second Team. Verse capped off a special campaign during this "special season" by being named CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The last time we spoke to Glenn Clark he was the coach of the "Albany NLL" and now he's the leader of the "Albany Firewolves". Sure the roster is the same and the home is still the Times Union Center but now we know the name and persona the team will hopefully win a National Lacrosse League Championship under. So after about six years of coaching the New England Blackwolves how does Glenn Clark feel about coaching the Firewolves?

Sports Arenas, Museums, Zoos And Movie Theaters About To Expand Capacity
Great news for fans of the Nets, Knicks, Islanders, Rangers, and Albany Empire. In today's coronavirus press briefing, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the current 10% capacity limit set on all indoor sports arenas in New York state will increase to 25% on Wednesday, May 19th. This is great news for teams like the Nets, Knicks, and Islanders who all appear to be headed to postseason play. The Rangers are far from a lock for the postseason but still alive thanks to a four-game sweep over the New Jersey Devils.
