RPI Head Coach Seth Appert Previews the ECAC Tournament

 

The 53rd annual ECAC tournament kicks off tomorrow, and rolls on through the next three weekends. RPI, who secured themselves a 7th seed with a solid regular season, will face 10th seeded Dartmouth in the first round as they try to make a deep run.

Earlier on Joe & Brix, RPI Head Coach Seth Appert joined the program to talk about his team and their prospects heading into the weekend. During their conversation, Appert shed some light on his team’s 14-14-6 season, their chances in The Dance, what his team learned for their earlier, highly publicized fight with the Union Flying Dutchmen.

Dave Maloney Talks Ryan Callahan Trade [AUDIO]

It was a big day for the New York Rangers today, as the organization pulled off a monster of a trade, sending Captain Ryan Callahan and two draft picks to Tampa Bay for Martin St. Louis. The move was executed just hours before the trade deadline and it has been met with quite a mixed response from fans, players and media alike.

Earlier today former Rangers Captain Dave Maloney hopped onto Joe & Brix to break down what this deal means for the Blue Shirts. During their conversation, Maloney discussed the impact ofSt. Louis, the departure of Callahan and the difficulty of replacing a team leader in the locker room.

State of the Union: The Knicks [AUDIO]

After wilting to the miserable Detroit Pistons, it’s official: The Knicks have hit rock bottom. The team lacks effort, looks dejected and plays virtually no defense. They are destined to miss the post season, they don’t have a first round pick, and Carmelo Anthony may leave as a free agent. Things aren’t looking too good.

Raymond Felton Arrested On Criminal Weapons Charges

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Knicks, and more specifically Raymond Felton. The starting point guard turned himself early Tuesday morning after his wife claimed he pointed an unregistered gun at her during an altercation.

Felton was scheduled for court Tuesday to face charges of second, third and forth degree criminal weapon possession after his wife delivered an unregistered weapon to police, claiming it belonged to Felton.

Olympic Broadcaster Andrew Catalon Joins Joe & Brix [AUDIO]

For years Andrew Catalon cut his teeth as a news anchor at WNYT News Channel 13 right here in Albany, New York. Now he a national sports voice, and for the last two weeks he’s been in Sochi, Russia heading the Olympic Curling coverage for NBC.

Earlier today Catalon joined Joe & Brix to discuss his experience in Russia covering the Games. During their conversation Catalon discussed the hospitality in Sochi, the American results and his favorite stories from the games.
