Olympian Kate Hansen Finds A Wolf In The Hall [VIDEO]

The Sochi Olympics have been marred by reports of terrible accommodations, unfinished construction sites and reports of stray dogs wandering the city streets. None of that compares to this.

Check out Olympic luger and twerking sensation Kate Hansen’s video of a wolf wandering the hallways of her Olympic hotel. Not only is this video incredible, its also pretty damn dangerous. The last thing Putin needs on his hands are a bunch of maimed athletics that were attacked by an arctic beast while they were trying to take a nap. Not good for National PR.

Basketball Fan Has Epic Kiss Cam Response [VIDEO]

The Kiss Cam has been an American sporting event staple for as long as I can remember, and it’s provided us (and YouTube) with countless classic moments. Watching a guy get smooch-snubbed on the big screen only to bury his face in his seven dollar beer really never gets old. Uncomfortable? Yes. Entertaining? Absolutely.

Well this guy came prepared. Take a look at this Kiss Cam footage from a Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball game, where a smart fan was able to make the best of an otherwise awkward situation.

Siena Saints Coach Jimmy Patsos Joins The Team In-Studio

Jimmy Patsos has the Siena Saints playing some inspired basketball, winning four of their last six games. At 11-14 the rebuilding Saints are considered to be well ahead of schedule in the coaches first year with the team.

Earlier today Coach Patsos joined Joe & Brix in studio to talk all things sports, and update the Capital Region on the progress of his team. During the conversation coach shared his thoughts on Derek Jeter’s retirement, the Knicks debacle of a season, Jimmer Fredette’s NBA future and, of course, Siena Saints basketball.

Make sure to check out the Saints tonight as they take on Marist on ESPN 3, and always tune into Joe & Brix, 3-7pm on 104.5 The Team.

Olympic Athlete Gets Her Twerk On In Sochi

Normally famous white chicks trying to twerk is sad, embarrassing and plain uncomfortable. But when you're an American Hero, things tend to be different.

Check out this video of luge Olympian Kate Hansen breakin' it down, courtesy of Instagram. According to her post, she was "blessing" teammate Erin Hamlin's bronze medal, which she won yesterday. Hamlin joined 104.5 The Team yesterday to talk about that historic feat.

As far as the twerking, she ain't no Trina, but she's not half bad.

Jon Stewart Talks Michael Sam On The Daily Show [VIDEO]

Ever since Jon Stewart took over for Craig Kilborn, The Daily Show has never shied away from attacking any story in the news. Yesterday, as was to be expected, Michael Sam’s coming out party was the subject of Stewart’s opening bit.

Stewart came out strong with a nice Tim Tebow jab, and overall did a pretty stellar job laying into the entire circus around his announcement. I do however think he missed the point a tiny bit on his last joke, where he pointed out hypocrisy from organizations who fear Sam’s potential media frenzy by pointing out teams that hired or stuck with Ray Lewis, Mike Vick, and Big Ben after their legal issues. Yes, those teams knew they would face controversy and backlash, but they also knew that Ben was a Super Bowl winning franchise player, Lewis was the best linebacker of his generation and Vick was the most physically talented quarterback in the history of the game. Sam is a projected third or forth round pick, and those guys are often crap shoots. If I am a GM I would be far less inclined to take on the undoubted media distraction for a guy that is completely unproven and not projected for greatness. It has nothing to do with his sexuality; it is all about the media circus that unfortunately is sure to follow him.

He will get draft and he should get drafted, but to think this announcement won’t affect his stock with some organizations is naive. It may be unfortunate, but it’s true.

Is High School Phenom Thon Maker The Next Kevin Durant? [VIDEO]

Usually I’m not big into trying to anoint young high school kids the “Next Big Thing,” but this kid is just ridiculous. Check out this video of Thon Maker, a 7-foot-1 high school sophomore who is already being lauded as one of the biggest NBA prospects of all time. This video is unbelievable. Look at this kid’s handle and ability to finish near the hoop. Team that with the shot blocking and outside range and its impossible for a basketball fan not to get excited about his future.

If I were an NBA GM I’d be busy at work formulating a multi-year tank strategy right about now. Or, if I ran the Knicks, I would just continue with business as usual.

Check Out The Carmelo Anthony Bobblehead [PHOTO]

The play of the New York Knicks this season has had fans shaking their head. Now, if you attend tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets, you can watch Carmelo Anthony do the same.

Well, kind of.

Check out the Carmelo Anthony bobblehead being handed out at the Garden tonight while Melo takes on his former team. While it is not the worst bobbler I’ve ever seen, I certainly wouldn’t consider it an exact replication. They aced the weirdly thin dirty mustache he loves to rock, but they kind dropped the ball with the other facial features. And, if we’re all being honest, Carmelo isn’t nearly that cut up. He may be a great scorer, but he’s still trying to ditch the baby fat.

Sochi Street Dog Wanders Into Cross Country Training [VIDEO]

Street dogs have been an interesting and sad storyline of the early Sochi Olympics. Earlier this week we learned that there were so many wandering canines in and around the Olympic venues that Russian authorities had hired an independent company to literally shoot any and all dogs they see to make sure they don't harm any athletes

Bleacher Report’s Tyler Donohue Breaks Down National Signing Day [AUDIO]

National Signing Day is one of the most exciting and confusing days of the year. It’s the day when you find out what kind of team your favorite school is going to have going forward, but unlike the NFL Draft, you’re usually talking about high school kids that the average fan has never heard of. That’s why we caught up with Bleacher Report’s draft expert Tyler Donohue earlier today on Joe & Brix.

Tyler Donohue has been covering the recruiting process for years, and has fantastic insight into who will be the stars of tomorrow and why. During the interview Donohue shed some light on the day’s biggest winners and losers, Syracuse’s recruiting class and who he believes will turn into the best college quarterback in the class.

Check out the interview below and make sure to listen to Joe & Brix weekdays 3-7pm, on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.

Fat Jared Lorezen Is Playing Indoor Football And It’s Great

There are few things in this world that are universally respected and cherished. Fat dudes playing pro quarterback is one of those things.

Jared Lorenzen, lovingly known as "The Hefty Lefty," has always had a reputation for being large and in charge. After going undrafted out of Kentucky, J-Lo spent three seasons as the back-up for Eli Manning in New York. Well, it turns out the former Giant and Colt is still slinging the rock, now for the Northern Kentucky River Monsters, and he's added a couple pounds to his frame.

Well, maybe a couple dozen pounds. Just keep in mind while you're watching this clip, that that River Monster has himself a Super Bowl ring. I guess Kevin Garnett was right...
