Giants Pull Off Week 6 Surprise, Can They Sustain Success?
It's not what I expected to see Sunday night from the Giants, and that's because I never thought the offensive line would hold up against Denver's number one ranked defense.
Home Sweet Home for Must-Win on Monday
It goes without saying if the Yankees lose game three on Monday, there's almost no chance at all they beat the Houston Astros and win the ALCS. But here's the good news. The Yankees are home for the next three games where they own a 54-30 record this season
Bailed Out or Not, 2018 Should Be Girardi’s Choice
If Joe Girardi doesn't return to manage the Yankees next season it will be because he wants a change not because Hal Steinbrenner is going to fire him. Fire him for what?
How Far Will the Giants Fall? 0-6 At Least
I am not sure when the Giants are going to win their first game of the season, but it won't be Sunday night in Denver. The Giants are depleted at wide receiver and the Broncos have the number one rated defense in the NFL.
Jets’ Surprising Start Has Earned Todd Bowles New Contract
I have a tough time explaining how the Jets are 3-2, but that’s their record going into Sunday first place showdown game against the New England Patriots who own the same record.
Beckham’s Broken Ankle Adds to Broken Season for Giants
Say what you want about Odell Beckham Jr, but you have to feel for one of the best receivers in the game. He suffered a broken ankle in the fourth quarter of Sundays loss to the Chargers, and now his season and the Giants season is over.
Sale Sets Bad Tone for Red Sox in ALDS
As good as Chris Sale has been for Boston this season, his downfall was giving up the home run ball. He gave up 4 in his last regular season outing, and it carried over into the playoffs.
Too Soon to Start Playoff Talk for Bills?
I am not ready to start the Bills have a shot at breaking their playoff jinx just yet, but their defense is very good. Defense can win you games, which is how the beat the Falcons in Atlanta.
Fault for Giants’ Sloppy Play Falls at Feet of Head Coach
The Giants have looked this season like a football team that is not well coached. Maybe it’s time to stop pumping out the music and eliminate the dancing during practice, and start concentrating on winning games.
Terry Collins Resigns, Moves to Mets Front Office
Terry Collins won't be back with the Mets next season because the organization wants a new manager and a new voice in the clubhouse and you know what, that stinks.
New Era Starting at RPI
Dave Smith can wipe the slate clean at RPI, because there is no place to go but up. Nobody expects the Engineers to challenge for the ECAC title in his first year, but don’t be surprised if the Engineers aren’t much improved.
Monster Contract Hangs in Balance of OBJ Antics
As great as Odell Beckham Jr is, and he is great, he embarrasses the Giants organization with his end-zone antics. When you're mimicking a dog urinating in the end-zone after a touchdown, you have totally crossed the line even by Odell’s standards.
