Over the weekend the Tampa Bay Rays welcomed in cute little Avril Lavigne to perform at their summer concert series, too bad they didn't realize what a foul mouthed girl she actually is.

The Tampa Bay Rays are doing whatever they can do to fill seats at their games. Not they are a bad team, they are always competing for first place against the Yankees and Red Sox, but people still don't come to see them play. So why not put on a concert before the game? Great idea! Bring the kids and watch a concert and then enjoy a ball game.

Enter Avril Lavigne. Not a very good moment for her over the weekend has she lashed out at Rays fans with a profanity laced rant. You may have fooled some into thinking you were actually rock music a few years ago, but for sure have not tricked us into thinking you are some innocent little girl. Apparently Lavigne lashed out after a few fans booed after her technical difficulties on stage. I guess she was dropping pretty heavy words and even mentioned that she hated performing at baseball fields. Ouch. Double whammy. After the whole thing went down, The Rays then had to do damage control and released this statement:

The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.

I am guessing you can add Miss Lavigne to the list of people not allowed to perform at sporting events along with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. Sounds like somebody is a bit of a diva. I can only hope that somebody somewhere got the moment on a cell phone cam so we can enjoy it as well.
