Johnny Knox was hit by Seattle Seahawks defensive end Tony Hargrove after fumbling the ball in the first quarter.  The Bears lost to the Seahawks 38-14.  Knox will have surgery to stabilize a vertebra in his lower to mid back.  The Bears are saying that the injury is not career threatening.

Bears head coach Lovie Smith says that Knox has total movement throughout his body.  Smith also says that Knox has total use of all of his extremities.  Hopefully, Knox will be able to make a full recovery.  It would be a shame if this injury costs him his career.
