Say what you want about Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger, but the guy is tough.  He had to play on a broken foot at the end of last season. That same broken foot could become a problem for this season as well as he is now talking surgery on it.

Roethlisberger said at times that it was so painful that he would sit out during practices near the end last year.  Now to correct the problem, likely made worse by playing on it, he may need an operation.  Doctors have told him that it could be a difficult procedure due to where the break was and for now they will play it by ear.  Pittsburgh doctors will be keeping a close eye on it to watch the injuries progress.  Roethlisberger used a special cleat to help through the injury in the Super Bowl, where the Steelers lost to the Packers.
