A big Boxing card featuring 2 undefeated heavyweight fighters had to be rescheduled from it's original date, which was to be this coming Saturday, October 27th until December 14th.

The main event on the card was to be heavyweight  Joe Hanks taking on fellow heavyweight Fred Allen. Both of these fighters are perfect in their careers.

The reason for the rescheduling is a motorcycle accident Allen was involved in back on October 4th. Allen wasn't seriously injured but suffered bruises ans scrapes on his face and elsewhere that precluded him from training. The thought was floated to the promoter of the fight, Joe DeGuardia, who is also president of Star boxing, to replace Allen, but DeGuardia claims he wanted to keep the fight as 2 unbeaten Heavyweights.

DeGuardia said " We have a deal and we have a contract. Allen just needs a couple of weeks. When you have 2 undefeated fighters, you want to keep the fight."

Hanks will come into the fight with a mark of 20-0-0. he is 14th ranked by the WBA. Allen is 14-0-1 with 6 ko's. Hanks hails from Newark New Jersey.

The card is scheduled for the Times Union Center. Anyone holding tickets for the original date will have those tickets honored on the now rescheduled date.
