Bill Belichick isn't known as the most cheerful guy in the world.  However, he made a great point during a recent press conference.

This is a great point by New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.  Of course, he made his point in that gruff, Belichick-type way, but it's still a great point nevertheless.  A reporter was about to ask the best head coach in the NFL a question.  She began her question by making a statement that Belichick would gage his team's performance better against a team that has a better record than the Colts.

Belichick objected.  He made a great point that he will still be able to gage his team's performance against certain individual players.  The Patriots might blow out the Colts.  The Colts might be a 0-12 team after Sunday's game against the Patriots.  However, it doesn't mean that Bill Belichick won't be able to assess his team or make critical evaluations based on some of the individual matchups that occur during the game.  Great point.
