The Buffalo Bills just may be playing the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, according to the Bills website.

The NFL schedule isn’t set to be released for another month, but the opponents for each team are already known, as well as where they will play each opponent.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are due for a Thanksgiving game to be aired on CBS, which would mean they need an AFC opponent.

The Lions are only scheduled to have two AFC teams visit Ford Field in 2014, so it’s very plausible that the Bills will be heading to Detroit for Turkey Day.

The Bills website also includes the following information about Detroit in its “13 things to know about 2014 opponents.”

Buffalo and Detroit will meet for the 10th time in the regular season in 2014. The Bills have played in eight previous Thanksgiving Day games (4-4) in team history with their last appearance on Turkey Day coming in 1994.
