The Albany Devils spent Friday night in Binghamton New York, and were treated rudely by the home team Senators. Jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Sens held on to defeat the Devils 5-2.

Goals by Shane Prince, Cole Schneider, and Mike Hoffman gace the high flying Senators all they needed essentially to beat the road traveled Devils. Albany bounced back from that 3-0 hole and made a game of it.

Down 3-0 and more then half the 2nd period gone Matt Anderson finally got 1 on the board for Albany. That was followed 58 seconds later by another Albany tally, this one by David Wohlberg his 1st of the year. However the back breaker was coming shortly.

Before the period ended and with a great chance to tie the game thanks to a penalty by Binghamton, the Devils gave up a short handed goal that for all in intents ended their comeback. The shorty, by Cory Cowick took the bite out of the Devils on this night.

Binghamton scored the only goal of the 3rd period, an empty netter by Schneider, his 2nd of the night and won 5-2.

The 6 game road trip continues Saturday night in Syracuse against the Crunch at 7:30 P.M.
