Blake Griffin Is A Beast

Last night, “The Poster Child” dropped a season high 47 points and pulled down 14 boards, racking up his 27^th consecutive double-double, leading the Clippers to a 114-107 win vs. the Indiana Pacers.

Throughout the game, Blake hit a mix of bank shots, hooks, 3-pointers and turnaround jumpers.  So who was it that said that he can only dunk?  Whoever it was, Blake was listening, and he’s not impressed. He said, recently:

"It's cool because all I hear is, 'He can dunk and jumps high.’ People question the other skills and as a basketball player, you take that personally."

Last night was was Griffin's 33rd double-double of his rookie season, and his 19 field goals made were a career best. His points topped the previous league high of 46 by Golden State's Monta Ellis.

Keep your eye on Griffin as the season moves forward.  He is doing things that we haven’t seen anyone do in a long time.  Could he really save the Clippers?  Could he really save the Slam Dunk Contest?  Stay tuned.
