There is a boys high school basketball exposure event geared toward players aiming to be recruited at the Division III and junior college level this Saturday (10/8). The one day event is being held at Johnsville High School in Johnsville, New York.

Schools such as Utica, Cazenovia, Bard, SUNY IT, Potsdam, SUNY Morrisville, SUNY Brockport, Union, Hudson Valley Community College, and Fulton Montgomery Community College, among others are are expected to be in attendance.

Putting on the event is EJ Gallup, a Capital District Basketball Hall of Fame member who played his high school basketball at Gloversville and then went on to play at division I Coastal Carolina. Gallup continued to play professionally for 10 years overseas.

"Being from a small high school I know first hand that kids from small towns or small schools don't get that many opportunities to play in front of college coaches. This is that opportunity. This is also an opportunity for parents to meet players and coaches that can inform them about the recruiting process. I would advise any high school player that is not being actively recruited to attend and get some exposure"
