Less than 24 hours after the Houston Texans cut safety Ed Reed, the future Hall of Famer has now been signed by the New York Jets, the team officially announced Thursday morning.

After going through waivers, the Jets would be paying a $1 million base and an extra $62,500 for each game that Reed participates in. The Jets have confirmed that Reed will be practicing today with the team.
