Bruins Players Visit Hospital In Halloween Costumes

The Boston Bruins made their annual visit to a Boston Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, just in time for Halloween. The player do this every year

“Despicable Me” was the theme this year. Captain Zdeno Chara dressed as Gru, while Torey Krug, David Krejci, Tuukka Rask, and Jimmy Hayes dressed up as Minions. If there was ever a costume for Chara Gru would absolutely be it.

“We went around and put some smiles on children’s faces and it was just awesome,” said Krug. “We dress up, and take their mind off whatever they’re going through and just put smiles on their faces — it’s a lot of fun.”

This has become one of the good trends that professional sporting teams have done for the last couple years. These guys are looked like as heroes, and then when they come in and ease some of the pain of these hurting kids is amazing.

The Bruins are 4-3-1 so far on the season, after an offseason of shakeups.Check out all the picture below.
