The Buffalo Bills had a very tough match up today against the favored New England Patriots, but it is Buffalo not New England who have the last second heroics at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The Buffalo Bills have been a joke in the NFL for nearly 10 years.  This season has changed, and now the Bills are the ones doing the laughing.  They beat the New England Patriots by a score of 34-31 and were able to make Tom Brady seem, well, human.

The Bills were down 21-0 in the second quarter when QB Ryan Fitzpatrick decided to rally the troops.  The Bills would put up 10 points and there they would dominate the Patriots.  The defense picked off Tom Brady 4 times, including one pass that was intended for Julian Edelman but was instead picked off by Drayton Florence and returned for a TD.  That followed by a Rian Lindell kick put the Bills on top 31-24.

The Patriots would fight back like they always do to tie things up 31-31, but it came down to clock management by Buffalo in the end.  The Bills would hold the ball and run the clock down to just 3 seconds before Rian Lindell kicked the game winning field goal.

The Bills are now 3-0 and leading their division.  So is this team the real deal?  Their games so far this season would suggest so.  Their passing game is on par with some of the best in the game and Fred Jackson at running back seems to be something that no one can stop so far.  Next week the Bills face The Bengals on the road and we'll see if they can remain undefeated.
