The Buffalo Bills ARE For Real

Before today's game against the New England Patriots, plenty of people were selecting the Buffalo Bills as a team that was off to a surprisingly good start.

Nearly everyone (myself included and I'm a Bills fan) thought that this week would be a return to reality, facing the Patriots who have put up video game numbers in their first two games and also had won 15 consecutive matchups.

After another terrific game, where the Bills intercepted Tom Brady a career-high four times and matched the Patriots score for score, I think this team is for real.

Will they win the Super Bowl? Who knows? But things are definitely changing in Western New York.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has proved that he should be a starter in the NFL, without a doubt, and the Bills are doing just enough to get the job done.

Last week, they trailed Oakland 21-3 and rallied for a 38-35 victory.

This week, they trailed 21-10, but this was to the Patriots who are -- well the PATRIOTS.

Still, the Bills managed a terrific comeback, took the lead when Drayton Florence returned a Brady interception for a 31-24 lead.

Even when Brady came back to tie the score, the Bills and Fitzpatrick -- the Harvard Hurler -- just led his team back down the field for the game-winning score.

According to STATS LLC., the Bills became the only team to overcome deficits of at least 18 points to win in consecutive weeks, since 1950.

Since the playoffs expanded to 12 teams in 1990, 75 percent of the teams that have started the season 3-0, went on to make the playoffs.

The Bills, who haven't made the playoffs since 1999, have at least proved that they are an exciting team and one to be reckoned with.
