“It will obviously be an active summer for us,” Bulls GM Gar Forman told reporters

This just sounds like a match made in heaven. Carmelo Anthony is the most attractive player out there and is a proven superstar in the league, that wants to win now.

The Bulls are a team with the Defensive Player of the Year in Joakim Noah, and a 25-year old PG who won the MVP at age 22 in Derrick Rose.

The soon to be free-agent is certainly going to attract many teams. The Chicago Bulls will have the best roster hands down out of all those suitors. Even without Derrick Rose 100% you can argue that its roster is an all-star scorer away from contending for the East crown.

In order to have the cap room for him, the Bulls likely have to include either trading or using the Amnesty Provision on power forward Carlos Boozer.

This could be a win - win for the Knicks if Anthony decides to do a sign and trade. On Anthony's side you go to a much improved organization, and a team that is immediately ready to contend for a title.

For the New York Knicks you save 20 million dollars, get a 1st round draft pick, and at least two players from the Bulls. No one expects the Knicks to be a contender next year with or without Carmelo Anthony. This could also take a load of pressure off the Knicks next head coach said to be TNT analyst Steve Kerr.
